Pastor Esther Ortiz Villanueva of Full Gospel Prayer Tabernacle Church passed
away unexpectedly on April 9th 2010.
A Gilroy native born June 17th 1950 who proudly followed her fathers footsteps
in the ministry. Following high school she attended Miracle Valley College in Arizona, where after one year she was sent to Nicaragua for missionary work with the Cobb family. Upon returning to Gilroy she ministered along with her father while attending Gavilan College. She devoted her life to caring for and helping people, while continuously staying committed to her Christian faith.
Preceding her in death are her parents Rev. Jose and Dolores (Lola) Ortiz originally of Crystal City, Texas; Sisters Dominga Ortiz and Maria Elena Ortiz; Brother Reynaldo Ortiz; and nephews Antonio Ortiz, Joshua Gallegos, Jacob Moreno and great nephew Jacob Ortiz.
She leaves behind her loving husband Victor Villanueva of Gilroy; siblings
Hermenio Ortiz, Felix Ortiz also of Gilroy, Carmen Gallegos of San Jose, John Ortiz
of San Diego, Pete (Pedro) Ortiz of Morgan Hill, Mary Moreno of Oakland, Joe Ortiz of Fontana, CA; and many generations of nieces and nephews. She was the Matriarch of the Family who would wholeheartedly Love all.
Viewing will be held at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 7250 Forest St. Gilroy Ca, 95020 - Thursday evening April 15th 2010 beginning at 5:00 PM with Evening Services at 7:00pm. Funeral services will also be held at Full Gospel Church Friday April 16th 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park 1000 First St., Gilroy.
