Pastor Louis G. Herrera, age 76, of Gilroy, CA, went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2025.

Louis was born on February 2, 1949, in Hollister, CA, to Lucy and Louie Herrera. Before entering the ministry, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for two years before being honorably discharged, carrying with him the strength, discipline, and commitment that would later shape his service to God and his community.

Louis married Irene Palacios in 1971, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. They shared three children: Denise, Yolanda, and Louis Jr.

Called to ministry at a young age, he dedicated his life to serving God and loving people. He served faithfully as a pastor at Gilroy Victory Outreach for 27 years, where he impacted countless lives through his preaching and leadership.

Louis is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife, Irene; his mother, Lucy; his sisters, Monica, Barbara, and Charlotte; his children, Denise, Yolanda, and Louis Jr.; his grandchildren, Jesse, Teresa, Danile, Mateo, Amber, David, Isabella, Isaiah, and Avery; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey and baby girl Martinez.

Louis will forever be remembered for his unwavering faith, integrity, honesty, and compassionate heart. Also, dedicating himself to leading and touching the lives of countless people, guiding the, toward Christ. Although he was a man of few words, whenever he spoke, his words left a lasting impact on many. His legacy will continue to live on through his family and every life he touched.
