Olivia “Livy” Corona, age 71, of Gilroy, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong resident of Gilroy, Livy was known for her warm spirit, her sense of humor, and the deep love she had for those around her.
Livy was a devoted mother to Salvador DelRio II, Tenesha DelRio, and Priscilla DelRio, who were the center of her world. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Salvador DelRio III, Sterling DelRio, Melodie DelRio, Damien DelRio, and Paris DelRio, and a cherished great-grandmother to Nina A., Lilly A., Atticus Celaya, and Penelope Celaya. Her family was her greatest joy, and she found her happiest moments when everyone was together.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Corona, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
She loved her lotto tickets, always holding onto a little hope and excitement for the next win. She enjoyed listening to her oldies, the kind of music that brought back memories and made her smile. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family—laughing, sharing stories, and simply being together.
She will be remembered for her love, her strength, and the way she made people feel at home when she would speak her French. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
