Obituary

Norma Jean Caron was born on October 14, 1946, in Biddeford Maine.  She passed peacefully on 12/11/2023. She was the youngest of 2 children.  She met her Husband Henry Caron at the Inn Crowd in Ogunquit, Maine.  They were married September 4, 1971.  They enjoyed dancing and going to Booth Bay Harbor and Bar Harbor.  They loved going to the beach   They had 2 Children together Troy and Michelle Caron.  She loved going boating with her family at Sebago Lake and stopping at Amato's after to eat after a long day on the lake.  She also enjoyed going to the Clam bake in Pine Point with her family as well as going to the Alpine slide in North Conway New Hampshire. They lived together in Saco, Maine until 1995.  They moved to Morgan Hill California and then later settled in Gilroy California.  They relished going to Monterey and Capitola to get back near the ocean and enjoy seafood.

Norma graduated as a Registered Nurse and had several nursing jobs. Her favorite job which she was very passionate about was teaching Lamaze.  She did this in both Maine and California.  She retired at 65.

Norma was known for her knitted scarfs, afghans, hats, and various other knitted items.  She would work on these endlessly to get them out as gifts for Christmas.  She really enjoyed gathering pictures together and making calendars for her family and friends. She looked forward to playing words with friends and scrabble with her loved ones all over the country.  She always looked forward to her vacation to Florida with friends from Maine.  Social media gave her the ability to watch what her grandchildren are doing.  She was always the first person to like or comment on their posts.

She is survived by her husband Henry, her sister Carol Newman and her nephews Michael and Brian and her children Troy and Michelle. She was a loving grandmother to Ava and Cole.

She will be remembered for her generosity and sacrificing herself for others.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

The services will be held a St Mary's church at 1:30 Thursday 12/14/23. If you would like to do something you are welcome to have masses said at St Mary's in honor of Norma.
