At the age of 88, Nobuko "Nobie" Tsuda passed away on December 21, 2014. Nobie was born on May 8, 1926 and raised in Salinas, California until the war, where she was interned in Poston, Arizona. She moved to Watsonville in 1947, where she met her husband, Ben Tsuda, who passed in 1999. Nobie attended sewing school in San Francisco, and after moving to Gilroy in 1953, she and Ben began raising a family. She is survived by her children, Steve Tsuda and late wife, Jeri; Sheri Gunderson and her daughter, Cori; Dale Tsuda and wife, Brenda and their children, Ryan and Jennifer (Mark Hoffseth and children, Jaxon and Gianna); Debbie Gjerde and husband, Chris and their children, Melissa and Eric. Nobie was well known in Gilroy as a very talented seamstress. She was also an amazing cook and many remember the feast she served on New Year's Day. Always a selfless, kind, and giving wife, mother, and aunt, Nobie will be dearly missed by many.
