Nenita Cabelin Salazar, also known as Nenette, was born in Jaro, Leyte, Philippines on June 19, 1943 to the parents of Alejandro and Engracia Salazar. She was the 4th child of 7 siblings. Nenita's 55 years as a jewelry sales associate began in the Philippines and continued on to the United State upon her arrival to America in 1990. She resided in San Jose, California.
Know as a devout Catholic, Nenita was a kind and unselfish person whose compassion, love, forgiveness and joy was the perfect example of the Lord's work and felt by all. She loved to listen to music, dance, socialize read books, garden, go to the casino and travel with her friends and care for the needs of her family.
In October 2014, Nenette was diagnosed with a rare type of breast cancer. It could not be cured, but responded well and controlled with chemotherapy. After 4.5 years, her body grew too weak to continue treatment. In late April, she came home to live with her loved ones in Morgan Hill, California under hospice care. On May 31, 2018 at 4:56PM, God gave her rest with her sister Beatriz and niece Kathryn by her side. Nenita is also survived by her eldest sister Teresita and Brother-in-law John along with Kathryn's husband Lincoln and children Ava and Bryce.
