Nellie passed away peacefully after a short illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernie, daughter Debbie Silva and grandchildren, Jennifer Long, Tim Hardy, Liz Jordan, Amber Howe, Danny , Rich, Nick, Gilbert, and Veronica Frausto. She was preceded in death by her son Greg and daughter Darlene.

Nellie was a loving and devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She can be remembered spending many hours with her grandchildren, she always put them first. When Nellie wasn't with her grandchildren you could find her in her garden and with her birds that she raised. Every once in a while she would get away from the city life and you could find her at the slot machines.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Habing Family Funeral Home.
