Nelda, 92, Gilroy, passed away on September 4, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Fred Coito.  Also preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Catherine Bariola and many brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her children; Paul Duplissie and Nancy Romero, her grandchildren Mark (Tishna) Duplissie,  Bryan (Krystle) Romero and great grandchildren; Conner and Mackenzy Romero, Shaley and Amber Duplissie, Brooke and Amanda Barber, Nicole Maynard and one great-great grandchild; Brayden Odell. She also leaves behind her dear companion, Tina Arroyo Garcia, and longtime childhood friend, Marie Estes.

She was born in Tonti Town Arkansas and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She and her husband, Leon Duplissie moved to California in their mid-twenties where she would raise her family and spend the rest of her life.  She was an excellent cook who enjoyed having her family and friends over for a meal.  She and Fred loved to travel and they spent many years seeing the world.

If you knew Nelda, you loved her.  She will be dearly missed by all.

A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. Mary Church, Gilroy.  Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
