Michael Brent Yardley was born on Tuesday, May 6, 1980 in Gilroy, CA. He was born to Margaret and Willard Yardley. After a lengthy illness, Michael passed on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Morgan Hill, CA.

Michael grew up in Morgan Hill, the youngest child of four. He spent his childhood going on many adventures around town with his older brother,  cousins and friends. He loved to camp, fish, travel and plan the next party.

Michael had a "come as you are'' spirit. His inclusivity let you know he cared, you were welcomed and you became his friend for life. He was a renaissance kind of guy. He had an amazing voice and a song for every occasion. He was a writer at heart and you could often catch him with his head down engrossed in a book. He loved all types of movies and all genres of music; a pop trivia buff and if you let him, a quiz would follow.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Yardley of Morgan Hill. Father, Willard Yardley (Lily) of Bakersfield. His siblings, Sheryl Yardley of Gilroy, Tara Yardley of Morgan Hill and Guy Yardley (Robyn) of Watsonville. As well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Don and Helen Casillas of Morgan Hill, CA. His paternal grandparents Lila and Roy Hale of Dupree, SD and Aaron Yardley of Whitehorse, SD.

A visitation will begin 10:00am, Friday, January 7, 2022 followed by funeral services at 11:00am at Habing Family Funeral Home. Burial follows at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.
