It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael Armenta, born on March 24, 1966, in Gilroy, CA. He passed away unexpectedly from heart failure on May 9, 2023, in Los Gatos, CA.  Michael was a beloved son, brother, partner, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.

Mike was born in Gilroy, CA, raised in San Jose, and most recently, resided in Los Gatos, CA.  He graduated from Gunderson High School and went on to get a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University Chico.

Throughout his life, Mike held various technical positions in Silicon Valley such as technical writer, tech support, marketing director, program manager, etc. He retired in 2015 to start a career in real estate.

Mike developed a lifelong love of travel at an early age from his beloved grandparents, Jack & Pat Martin. He and his brother, Brian, would join their grandparents in summer travels around the country in their camper, a time when Mike also honed his card-playing skills for which he was well-known.

Mike enjoyed traveling to Europe and on cruise ships. He enjoyed visiting Prague, taking the time to explore its culture, sights, and food. Mike found joy in sharing good wine and food with friends and family.

Mike is survived by his partner Emil of Los Gatos, parents Cathy and John Armenta of San Jose, brother Brian of Atlanta, longtime friend Heather, and many relatives of his extended family.
