Melissa Kay Mitchell was born on May 17, 1987 and joined her fellow angels March 31, 2016. She will be missed by her parents, Steve and Jackie Mitchell, her supportive brother Matthew, and his wife Melissa. Melissa touched and inspired the lives of countless aunts, uncles, and family members, as well as many lifelong friends and caregivers. The staff at Monte Bello Adult Care Home, led by Dulce Cera, was her extended family for 9 years and added much joy and enrichment to Melissa's life. Her teacher, Heather Bass, and the loving staff at Gateway School encouraged and guided Melissa through her school years. We find comfort knowing that we will be joined again one day as a family. Until then, we have our angel watching over us.
