Maxine Martin was born July 18th, 1944 in Mexico Missouri and departed this life on January 23rd, 2024. Maxine was the daughter of Mary Davenport and James E Crews who preceded her in death. Maxine moved her family with her late husband Israel Martin to San Jose, California from Des Moines, Iowa in 1980. Maxine was a member of Agape Missionary Baptist Church where she was a very active member serving on the Deaconess board teaching youth Sunday school and later serving as a mother in the church. She relocated to Gilroy where she found a new loving and embracing Church at Foothills with pastor Mark and Joni Wilson. Maxine was a very loving and devoted mother to her six girls as she likes to say Lisa, Robin, Bobbie, Tammy, Paula and Maxine. Two of her daughters preceded her in death. She was a dear friend to those who knew her. She was always there to lend a helping hand or words of encouragement or advice. Maxine will be deeply missed by many. Maxine is survived by her daughter's Robin, Bobbie, Tammy, and Maxine. Her son-in-law's James Briggs, Lyveskia Chow, Ronald Davis and Joel Gray. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
