IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marylou
Zamaripa
June 14, 1952 – September 19, 2024
Marylou Zamaripa, 72, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept.19, 2024 with her daughter and loved ones by her side. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 14,1952. The Zamaripa family moved to Gilroy, CA in 1964 where she resided all her life.
Marylou was preceded in death by her son, Eleazar Rodriguez Jr. (aka Boy) and her parents Mary and Trinidad Zamaripa. She is survived by herdaughter, Marie Rodriguez, and her grandchildren, Gabriella, Isabella, Tony Romero Huerta Jr., Jeremy E. Lopez, Nicholas J. Rodriguez, Savanna A. Rodriguez, and Eleazar A. Rodriguez.
She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, her 13 siblings and their spouses: Linda (Sam), Trinidad Jr, Rose, Juanita (Emilio), Elvira (Tom), Felix (Maria), Benito, Dolores (Chuck), Roy (Maria), Sam (Elsa), Josephine (Tony), Ernestine (Pete), Leroy and many nephews and nieces.
Marylou worked many jobs in agriculture over the past 55 years and retired from ConAgra. In her retirement, she was an avid Warriors fan and kept a notebook with stats of every player while she watched the games. Her favorite pastime was going to the casino and playing slots with friends or family and she always made sure to wear her hat with her "lucky" charms. Marylou prided herself in "taking care " of her siblings and anyone that stopped by her house. Not only would she cook for her guests, send them off with a care package or deliver food to those that needed it but she could always be counted on for good company and a listening ear!
She may not have known how much she meant to us individually but she was a blessing to so many and will be sorely missed.
Until we meet again "Mama" Lou…..
