Obituary

Born October 21, 1926 Mary, 94, (nee Wisniewski) grew up in Marion Heights, Pa in a poor, coal- mining town. The eldest of five, living in the Depression, she learned how to survive and became a strong woman.  She left Pennsylvania for New York City to find work and there she became a secretary. Over the years, she work her way up to be an Executive Secretary for several famous Chairmen. Her last years were spent working at New York Racing Association for several Chairmen. She married a handsome Marine and they were married for 35 years. Their marriage produced two daughters, Donna and Adria. She devoted her life to her girls. She was their Girl Scout leader, personal secretary typing many term papers and talented seamstress. Many of their clothes she made at night after coming home from a full time job. She was a great cook and loved entertaining. Years later, Mary and John moved to California and lived with Adria when they became grandparents to Scott in 2000. In 2004, she became widowed. During her life in California she made many friends and was active in Women in Touch. She loved to crochet and many friends and family are proud owners of her artistic baby blankets. She leaves behind her two daughters and son-in-laws Donna Baldridge (Jim), Adria Spano (Richard) and grandson Scott Spano.

She loved California, living on the horse ranch and wanted to be put to rest in the warm sunshine. No matter the reason, whether friend or family, Mary had a gift of forgiveness. She will be missed by all and leaves her gift to you, "Never hold a grudge".

Many thanks to the team at Bonita Springs Hospice for your outstanding care.
