IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary H.
Medina
August 28, 1944 – February 27, 2022
Mary H. Medina AKA "Kiningani" was born and raised in Gilroy, CA.
She married Ruben Medina on January 13,1969 the first time on a cold as hell and snowing Monday. They renewed their vows in the early 80's at the San Juan Bautista Mission. She is now resting peacefully with her loving parents Moises & Elena, baby sister "Kenita" and eldest son Daniel.
She is survived by her husband Ruben, David (son), Michelle (daughter-in-law). Grandchildren: Ariel, Marcus, Tristian and Tekarra. Grand Fur Baby "Bear".
Siblings: Richie, Rudy, Gloria and Patsy. Last but not least her two secret keepers Teresa and Rita. She wore many hats in her lifetime. First, working for the Gilroy school district. Second, working at the local cannery. Third, working as a house manager. Final, retired as a homemaker.
She was always willing to get involved to help the community. She helped with March Of Dimes, Hope, Bonanza Days, Hispanic Festival and Van Club.
One fond memory of the siblings is Mary taking the bus up to Burlingame, always with her hula hoop in tow. Some of her favorite activities were visiting each and every one of the local yard sales, flea markets, Goodwill and Salvation Army, looking for treasures.
Along with her husband Ruben she would drive all over California to watch her grandchildren perform in any and every sport. Proud grandma to cheer them on.
She loved her Tequila Margaritas and Lena's tacos.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was strong, even to the very end.
She was famous for her Witches Brew and the neighbors loved her strawberry pie.
(Special words from Ruben to his wife Mary)
"I would like to thank you for 53 years, 1 month and 14 days of standing side by side with me thru thick and thin"
