Mary Margaret Janisch, 89, of Gilroy, CA passed away on July 13, 2021 in Morgan Hill, Ca.

Mary was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 5, 1931. She was married to Richard Janisch Sr. on January 12, 1956, in South Dakota. Together with family they moved to California in 1966 and resided in Santa Clara County for 55 years. Mary worked as a registered nurse for 37 years until her retirement from Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy and a longtime volunteer at St. Mary School while her children were in attendance. She loved to watch sports in particular college sports and tennis on television, was an avid game show fan and in her younger days loved to dance and have a good time.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ethel Colburn, her husband Richard Eugene Janisch Sr., and brothers Robert, Gerald, Frank and Bill Colburn. She is survived by her sister Joan Talbot. She was the devoted mother of children Michael {Shawn), Stephen (Sandy), Cara and Richard II (Judy) and loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren, including Diana, Daniel, Todd, Ashley, Logan, Austin, Bryan, Nathan, Miranda and Gannon and 3 great grandchildren including Victoria, Andrew and Nicholas. She will forever be in our hearts and our memories. She was simply ..... Unforgettable.

Services will be private to the family in the chapel at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy. A reception/Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place on a later date in the near future. The family asks that any donation may be made in Mary Janisch's name to St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy, California.
