Obituary

Born in San Francisco, CA, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years John. Survived by their three daughters, Carol-Ann Griffin of Gilroy, Susan Reggiardo of Aromas and husband Matt, and Deborah Pereira of Gilroy. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Russ and Randy Frost, Theresa and Michael Reggiardo and wife Fatima, Louie Pereira and wife Shannon, Jennifer Campuzano and husband Louie. 10 great grandchildren, Alicia and Kennedie Frost, Angelina, Isabella and Gianna Reggiardo, Jonah Pereira Reggiardo, Nevaeh, Brooklyn, and Trinity Campuzano and Jackson Pereira. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Thomsen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Faust and Edna Pereira and John's parents John and Mary Pereira, her sister Rose Thomsen and brother Donald Pereira and his wife Lydia, John's sister Edalina Vargas and her husband Ed and grandparents Francisco and Olympia Pereira and Godparents Maria and Cypriano Alves and uncle Elvin Pereira and son-in-law Ron Griffin and great grandson John Matthew Reggiardo, also nephews Donnie Pereira, Danny Thomsen, Steven Thomsen and Edwin Vargas.

Mary-Ann graduated from San Jose High School. She married her high school sweetheart John and began a successful Dairy Business in 1947 that continued until their retirement in 1986; however she continued Bookkeeping for her families businesses until her final days.

Mary-Ann's pastime, was tending to her Flower Gardens, she was known to have a "Green Thumb". Loved sewing for her family and loved working with her Stamp collections – she was a true Philatelist.

Mary-Ann was a kind, loving, caring, selfless individual who always devoted her life to her husband, children and family. She taught her family the perfections of life by leading the example – her actions spoke louder than words.

She was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Gilroy. She was also a member of the S.P.R.S.I.

With her "Green" Eyes and sweet smile she brought sunshine to the hearts of all who knew her.

She passed in the presence of her family in her home. A private immediate family memorial service was held at Habing Family Funeral Home and Funeral Mass was led by Father Robert, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Parish and entombment followed at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
