Obituary

Marvin G. Anderson passed away peacefully in his home on July 27th surrounded by his
loving family, cherished friends, and devoted caregivers. He was 72 years young.
Marvin was born in San Jose, CA, on May 17, 1945, attended Andrew Hill High School,
and Los Angeles Chiropractic College. He moved to Gilroy with his wife and young
children in 1972.

Marvin was devoted to his wife of 54 years, Karen, his son, Marv Jr., daughter in law
Andrea Bianchi, his daughter, Shante Pappas, son in law Lee Pappas, grandsons Brian
and Brandon Realmonte, sister Cathy Anderson. Marvin was preceded in death by his
parents Harry and Evelyn Anderson, sister Gerrie Anderson, and his in-laws John and
Mini Pappani.

Marvin was a Doctor of Chiropractic, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Harry
Anderson before becoming an Equine Practitioner. Marvin had always had a very
special love for animals. He was known as the Horse Whisper, "Marvelous Marv". He
was an avid athlete and played many sports in his youth and at Andrew Hill High School
in San Jose. His athleticism continued as he played many sports in his adult years.
Marvin was very active in the Gilroy community supporting multiple organizations;
Gilroy Jaycees, Elks and Rotary, PAL Youth Football Coach, Team Doctor for Gavilan
College Football organization, President for Gilroy High Football Boosters Club. He
volunteered many years in the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Mounted Unit.
Marvin cherished most his high school sweetheart and wife Karen, children Marv Jr and
Shante and his precious grandchildren Brian and Brandon. He was a devoted Father and
Grandfather never missing a school or sporting event.

Marvin loved and healed many people/animals throughout the years we were blessed to
have him. He will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Coyote Springs
Ranch 3970 Leavesley Road, Gilroy.
