Marshula Phillips, former resident of Gilroy CA, passed away peacefully at her home in Modesto Ca, surrounded by love ones on the 5th of August 2014.

Born September 1, 1938 in Marietta OK, she moved with her family to Gilroy at a very young age. There she met the love of her life Coy Phillips. They married June 5, 1954. During their 45 years of marriage they owned and operated a local auto repair business, enjoyed travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Marshula was an accomplished musician. She combined her love of God and music by playing piano and organ during church services. She thoroughly enjoyed antiquing; with jeweler's loop in hand searching for her next cherished treasure. Her collections included jewelry, glassware, art and furniture. Marshula will be remember for her quick wit, sense of humor, love of clothes and make-up and the corner piece of cake with extra butter cream frosting.

Marshula is survived by her loving family: son Roy Phillips, (Sissy), daughters Ronda Green and Renee Phillips. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Brandon Green, Rhea Reed (Chris), Cory Phillips (Jilissa), Ali Case (Scott), and Ryan Green. Also referred to as the lights of life, her seven great-grandchildren: Corynne, Callen and Connor Phillips, Claire and Chloe Reed and Mia and Tristan Case. She also survived by Her Sister Mary Beth Rollins (Wade), her brother Mac Strawn (Barbara), numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Coy Phillips (1999) Her Parents, Neil and Ina Moore and her Sister Marquita Kelly.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 9, 2014 at Habing Family Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, 1000 First Street, Gilroy.
