Obituary

MARK E. EALEY born June 13, 1926 and passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 after a short illness.

Husband of Martha Stutsman Ealey. Also survived by the mother of his children, Ruth Keenan Ealey. Father of Michael K. Ealey, Tovah G. Ealey and Roger K. Ealey. Grandfather of Shanita, Maya and Jada Ealey. Brother of Leon Ealey. Preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of Oklahoma City, OK.

Navy Veteran of World War II. Received the Pacific Theatre Campaign Ribbon. Graduated from Howard University, Washington DC in 1952 with Masters Degree in Pyschiatric Social Work. He worked as a Parole Agent Case Work Supervisor for California Dept. of Corrections 1952 – 1960. Faculty Field Work Teacher for University of California-Berkeley 1960 – 1969. Professor of Black Studies at University of Pacific, Stockton 1969 -1990. He also ran his private practice –Vallejo Counseling Center 1961 – 2012.

Memorial Services Saturday, June 1, 2013 – 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Vallejo, 1350 Amador St., Vallejo, Ca. 94590 Vallejo.
