Marilyn Ann Britton, 86, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in San Jose, California. Born on April 22, 1938, in South Gate, CA, Marilyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long-time resident of Morgan Hill, where she lived for over 80 years and raised her family.
Marilyn's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to her family and her community. She was a passionate educator for 30 years with the Morgan Hill Unified School District, where she inspired countless students with her love of learning and compassion. Her commitment to teaching made a lasting impact on many who passed through her classroom. After retirement, Marilyn became a member and volunteer for the Morgan Hill Historical Society and also enjoyed working with the students at the Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Patch every year.
Marilyn was married to Tony Britton, who preceded her in death in 1989. Together, they built a life rooted in love and care for their children and grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her two children, Carrie Britton Williams and Allen Britton, as well as her five grandchildren, Shea Britton, Mark Williams, Jennifer Williams, Quinn Britton, and Ethan Britton. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Claire and Annie Williams, who brought immense joy to her later years.
A private service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor.
