My beloved wife, Marie O'Connor, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 10, 2022, at the age of 86.  She had been fighting Alzheimer's disease for several years.

Prior to that, Marie was very much into sporting activities.  She began playing tennis when the children were young.  She quickly rose up the ladders and became the local tennis champion.  Marie then took up golf, again she practiced with a focused tenacity that enabled her to start winning golf tournaments, and golf championships.  There were many times when we could be found at our local club finishing up another round of golf, late into the evening.  I was so proud of her!  When Marie decided to take on a challenge, she not only became competent, she became the best.

Marie was also a devoted mother.  She always had the children involved in activities or sports. There was never a dull moment.  Yet when they needed a hug or just a listening ear, she was always there for them.  She always wanted to help.  This was also demonstrated through her volunteer activities at church and school.

Marie was my sweetheart and meant everything to me.  I loved her competitive tenacity, her generous giving nature, and her ability to light up a room with her mere presence. She was my entire world.  I loved her.
