IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mariano Fe
De Leon
December 25, 1938 – February 22, 2024
Mariano S. Fe de Leon Jr, a beloved man of unwavering goodness, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on December 25, 1938, in Silay on the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines to Mariano Sr. and Leticia Sobrano, "Nonoy" was raised alongside his older sister, Marlette and younger brothers Ernani, Joel, Roy, and Noel. After immigrating to the United States in 1964, he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University, creating a foundation for a long and successful career. It was also during his time at SJSU that he made many lifelong friends and ultimately met the love of his life, Miraflora Carabio. Nonoy was a devoted husband to Mira for almost 55 years and together they built a nurturing and loving home for their daughter, Maria Theresa (Marites) and son, Mariano III (Toto). Nonoy also received immense joy from being a doting Lolo (grandfather) to Marites' daughter Gabriella Taylor and would do anything for his Apó (grandchild). Beyond being a pillar of strength and support to his family, Nonoy was a skilled bowler, carpenter, as well as an avid gardener and landscaper. The beautiful variety of flowers and trees he planted and cared for around the family home will continue to bloom flowers and bear fruits for many years to come. In honoring his memory, let us celebrate the life of Mariano S. Fe de Leon Jr, a man whose legacy of kindness, generosity, and integrity will forever live in our hearts and continue to inspire and guide all of us who knew and loved him.
