Maria Victoria Rodriguez (Garcia) passed away Friday afternoon April 26, 2019. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Victoria was born in a small town known as San Antonio Tariacuri, Michoacán Mexico to parent's mother Clara Garcia and father Ramon Garcia in December 1927. As a young beautiful girl Victoria learned to swim in a silent volcano called La Alberca Los Espinos en Michoacán, Mexico where the clear waters turned from blue to green in the afternoon.

In 1946 at an early age of 19, Victoria moved to San Juan Bautista, California where she met and married Jose B. Rodriguez; a World War II Veteran. Victoria and Jose began building their family and in 1970 moved and settled in Gilroy, California. Devoted wife, mother and grandmother her entire life, Victoria was always there to take care of her family. She loved to take long walks with her husband and ride bikes.

Victoria was an extremely talented woman canning fruits and vegetables for her family and friends. For her 12 children she always took time to make their Easter clothes making sure her family always looked their best. She loved to go shopping and attending local garage sales. Her favorite cherished items were her Jewelry. Victoria enjoyed singing, dancing and attending concerts to see her favorite artists such as Vicente Fernandez.  If she wasn't watching her favorite novelas she was off to the Casino's to challenge the 'One Arm Bandit'.

In San Juan Bautista Victoria worked and supported the local farm workers. Followed by the production line in a local cannery. She then retired at Gilroy Foods after 28 years of service.

She is survived by daughter Maria Rodriguez and son-in-law Robert Rodriguez and grandchildren Lorena, Rick, Robert and Jackie. Son Jose Rodriguez and daughter-in-law Emma Rodriguez and grandchildren Aldon and 'Judge Omar'. Daughter Amelia Muro (Rodriguez) and son-in-law James Muro and grandchildren Danielle, Lucas and Marcus. Son Ambrose Rodriguez and granddaughter Regina. Son Frank Rodriguez. Daughter Connie Marquez (Rodriguez) and son-in-law Rene Marquez and grandchildren Gabriel and Adriana. Daughter Victoria Rodriguez and grandson Cameron. Daughter Josephine Shuster (Rodriguez) and son-in-law Jim Shuster and granddaughters Erica and Ashley. Son Raymond Rodriguez and daughter-in-law Dalila Rodriguez. Son Michael Rodriguez. Son Andy Rodriguez and grandchildren Andrew and Isabella.
Daughter Elizabeth Laredo (Rodriguez) and son-in-law Joe Laredo and grandchildren Kayla, Eric and Joseph.

Victoria and her husband Jose built a beautiful family of 3 generations whom surrounded them with pride and love. With tears in our eyes she has left indelible imprints on our hearts. Although she will be missed, the Lord has a place by his side for her not to be forgotten that we will always be together. She leaves behind her family of many great-grandchildren, countless loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
