Maria De Los Angeles was born November 1st, 1929 in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away peacefully at home on August 8th 2023.

Maria was a self-made woman. Setting out with a friend from Santa Barbara, at the age of 14, to find work in Juarez Mexico then later into El Paso Texas to work as a domestic. Saving enough money she sent for her mother, sister, brother and his family to join her in Juarez. Maria continued to work saving her money she eventually purchased a grocery store in Juarez; all without having any formal education, she was self-taught.

Maria met and married her husband, Tony, within a month of meeting him while on vacation in California. After marriage Tony went into the army, upon his discharge they moved to Hollister California to begin their family. They moved to Gilroy California in 1963 and raised their 3 sons Tony Jr, Tomas, and Raul. They celebrated 67 years of marriage at the time of Tony's passing.

Maria ran her own janitorial service for manys years, even while working seasonally at Gentrys food processing plant.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Tony, parents Martin and Petra, and daughter Lupe.

Maria is survived by her sons Tony Jr of Arizona, Tomas of Atlanta, and Raul of Gilroy.

Maria is also survived by her sister Socoro of Watsonville.

Grandchildren: Anthony (Carissa) of Willow Glen, Marcus (Abra) of Willow Glen, Aaron (Mandy) of Gilroy, Cherise of Gilroy, Adam of Hollister, Sabrina (Sam) of Gilroy and Jacob of Irvine.

Great-Grandchildren: Aidan, Avalee, Daisy, Eli, Ella, Emilia, Ezekiel, Jayne, Marie, Mila, Niamiah, and Ximina.
