Maria, 78, of Gilroy, passed away on December 26, 2021.

Maria De Jesus Lopez was a very much loved mother, grandmother (abuela),
sister, and tia.

She was born in Texas but was raised in Arizona. She began working in the fields
at a very young age with her father and older siblings. She was second to the youngest
of 13 children. She worked as a migrant worker for half of her life then stopped working
because of the Rheumatoid Arthritis she had, and that has started to affect her. She
then became a full-time homemaker until she was unable to walk anymore.

She loved just being home and spending time with her family. Especially her
grandchildren. She loved to talk about her family history and would even read to her
grandchildren the best she could, since she mostly spoke Spanish.

She is survived by Antonio V. Rodriguez, who she has been together for 55
years, her son Martin Lopez (Angelica) of Oklahoma, son Joe Oscar Lopez, and
daughter Crystal Haro (Bobby). Youngest sister Maria Josefa Martin (Juan) of Arizona
and many many nieces and nephews. Also, grandchildren Martin Fabean Lopez, Jeremy
Richard Lopez, Kiyana Vanessa Young (Adam), Serena Lopez, Julisa Marie Haro,
Alyssa Mary Haro, and A'Lexus Maria Lopez. Great-grandchildren Jesse James
Walters, Jeremiah Lopez, and Adam James Valenzuela.

She was preceded in death; by her mother Petra Lopez, father Pedro Lopez, and
siblings Maria San Juana, Maria Marina, Luz Lopez, Margarito Lopez, Maria Teresa,
Maria Cruz, Maria Trinidad, Carmen Lopez, Maria Reyes, Maria Soledad, and Natividad
Lopez

A Visitation will be held at Habing Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.  A Vigil will follow at 6:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will held at St. Mary's Church on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 am.  Services will conclude after the Mass.
