Margarita "Maggie" Blanco Cruz passed away on the morning of June 2nd, 2015.

Maggie was the loving daughter of Ignacia and Jesus Blanco. Born and raised in Gilroy, California, she was a long time resident of San Jose, where she raised her five children, Jon Mungaray, Albert Valdivia, Abbie Mungaray, Cynthia Mungaray and Antoinette Samaron. Maggie enjoyed spending time with family, friends and most of all her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Rosario Cruz. Maggie is also survived by her siblings Mercy Molina, Yolanda Bettencourt, Daniel Blanco, Richard Blanco, Rosemary Berry, and Mary Siador as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maggie was pre-deceased by both her parents and siblings Tony Adame, Jessie Blanco, Larry Blanco and Martha Ponce.

Services to be held Sunday, June 7th, at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th Street in Gilroy. Viewing from 2:00-9:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM.


Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 8th, 10:00 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 11 First Street, Gilroy.

Burial to follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy.

Reception to be held at The Elk's Lodge, 2765 Hecker Pass Road, Gilroy.
