Margaret Peterson passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, after an extended illness.

Born to Ernest and Dolores Collinsworth in San Francisco on July 9, 1946, she was the eldest of ten children. She was the sister of Lorraine Whitacre (Bob, Dec.), Jerry Collinsworth (Nancy), Kathleen Reeve (Randy), Christine Mills (Roy), Therese Collinsworth (Dec.), Mary Pena (Sam), Joan Taggart (Mark), John Collinsworth, and Jim Collinsworth.

She grew up in Palo Alto and graduated from Palo Alto High School, Class of 1964. In 2004 she moved to Morgan Hill, and was a member of St. Catherine's Parish, and was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish (in Palo Alto). She was strong in faith and dedicated to the church.

She was the wife of Tom Peterson for 42 years, who preceded her in death in 2009. She was the dear mother of Diane Selby (Tom), Joanne Parise (Chris), and Daniel Peterson, and the beloved grandmother of Tommy, Tyler, Megan, Hannah, Nicholas, and John.

Margaret dedicated her life to caring for her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up. Margaret was kind hearted, and so thoughtful of others. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and those who knew her. Forever in our hearts.

Memorial service will be held on June 21, at 12:00 P.M. at St. Catherine's Church, 17400 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, followed by a celebration of her life at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.
