Manuel Muro, aged 100, of Gilroy, CA, passed away on February 15, 2024, surrounded by his devoted family.  Born on September 6, 1923, in Kansas City, Kansas, Manuel was the youngest child of Juan Muro and Fransisca del Rio.

In 1943, Manuel married the love of his life, Rosa Torres Vargas, in Tepetongo, Zacatecas, Mexico.  Together, they forged a life brimming with love and commitment, ultimately settling in Gilroy, CA, in 1962.  Manuel was not only a loving husband but also an exceptional father, grandfather, and human being.  His life was a testament to unconditional love, unwavering strength, and generosity, evident in his devoted care for his family.

Manuel is survived by his adoring wife of 80 years, Rosa Muro, and their 11 children: Rita (Pablo) Gutierrez, Roberto (Lupe), Rufino (Teresa), David (Ursula), Catalina (Cathy) (George) Sotelo, Armando (Sylvia), James (Molly), Manuel (Lettie), John (Brenda), Rosie (Leo) Martinez, Ofelia Muro. He also leaves behind 39 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Manuel began his career at Gubser Farms and later retired from Kaiser Permanente, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.  He is preceded in death by his son, Gilbert Daniel Muro (1992), as well as his parents and siblings.

Manuel's passing is deeply mourned by his entire family, who keenly feel the void left by his departure. His memory will forever remain in their hearts, a beacon of love and strength.
