Terri Perez, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the age of 77 after battling several health ailments.

Terri was born on July 3, 1941, in San Diego, CA and later moved to the Bay Area in 1965. She was a Supervisor for Santa Clara County Department of Social Services from 1972 to 2004 and served as a SEIU Labor Union official for many years. She fought to provide benefits for the disadvantaged and disabled.

Terri had a passion for painting and traveling the world. Spain, Africa, Paris, London, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Grand Caymans and St. Martin were among some of her travels. She loved painting the ocean or anything water-related and adding new places to visit to her list. The Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands was one of her utmost favorite destinations.

When she wasn't painting or traveling the world, she loved to sit in her garden with her dogs, a good book and a cup of coffee. She loved yellow roses and hummingbirds. Terri was always smiling and so full of life. She was also an avid music lover and art collector. She was known for her sense of humor, quick wit, storytelling, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

She is preceded in death by parents Gregorio Salas and Beatrice Orosco.

Terri is survived by her three daughters, Anita L. Torrez (spouse John), Vivian J. Crivello (spouse Joseph), and Alexis M. Perez-Santiago (fiancé Patrick). Her six grandchildren, Janae M. Torrez, Cheryl A. Gonzalez, Danielle R. Torrez (spouse Stephen), Michele J. Gonzalez, Allyssa M. Eclarin (spouse Justin) and Chaylen G. Gonzalez. And her five great-grandchildren, Matthew A. Perez, Cameron J. Brockington, Anthony J. Perez, Jameson J. Eclarin and Jaxon J. Moreno. She was a loving sister to Roy A. Orosco, Louie Orosco, Sandra G. Diaz, Shirley A. Bradbury, Rick Orosco, Caye Manriquez, and Alex Orosco. She was Aunt Theresa to many nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 10am followed by a funeral service at 12 noon, both at Habing Family Funeral Home on 129 4th St in Gilroy, California.
