Loretta was born in Tontitown, Arkansas to Frank and Clara Pianalto. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Gilroy Ca. She didn't know it then but met her beloved husband, then neighbor Ben Pappani at 7 years old.  Loretta attended Gilroy High School and enjoyed math, accounting and cheerleading. She graduated in 1953. Soon after graduation she started working at B.G. in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll. Ben and Loretta married in 1956 and Loretta was instrumental in the set up and administration of their business, Gilroy Electric. In addition to volunteering at Wheeler Hospital and El Roble School Loretta was also dedicated to the organization of A.D.D, the Association for the Developmentally Disabled and Hope Workshop as a founding member for advocacy and community support. She will be remembered for her tireless work ethic, sharp wit and dedication to her family.

She is survived by her husband Ben, son Mike, daughters Gina and Kathleen and grandchildren Kai Pappani McDermott and Sophie Pappani McDermott.
