With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Lisa Kayan Kong, who passed away on July 1, 2026, in Burlingame, California, at the age of 76.

Lisa was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend. She made her home in Morgan Hill, California, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and caring for others.

Lisa was an entrepreneur who owned a gift shop at the Residence Inn before later embracing one of her greatest callings as a nanny. Whether welcoming customers or caring for children, she had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, loved, and important.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She loved attending church, gathering with those she loved, and filling every room with laughter. Lisa was funny, playful, and quick to bring a smile to someone’s face. Her kindness, generosity, and selfless heart touched countless lives. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, always putting the needs of others before her own. Anyone who knew Lisa experienced her genuine warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband, Sunny; her children, Johnny and Sophia; and the many family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth Street, Gilroy, CA.

Although our hearts are broken by her sudden loss, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Her laughter, her faith, her generosity, and the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in all who knew her.

Her memory, and the love we continue to have for her, will always be a blessing.
