Obituary

Linda Passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 secondary to cardiac arrest while a patient in the intensive care unit at Kaiser Hospital Santa Clara, CA.

She leaves behind her husband, Walter; son Jed; a sister Sally Mullen and brother in law George Mullen of Santa Rosa, CA; cousin Joan Freeman (husband Tom) of Windsor, CA and cousin Lee Kraemer (wife Darlene) of Ukiah, CA.

Her death ended a three and a half year battle against the ill effects of cancer treatment.
She was born and raised in Oakland, CA. In 1963 following graduation from Oakland High School she moved with her parents to a small ranch in Salinas, CA. From there she attended San Jose State University majoring in occupational therapy. She became a licensed occupational therapist.

Linda worked at the VA Hospital Palo Alto, CA for 28 years becoming the lead hand therapist at the facility. She also assisted veterans in securing the correct motorized wheelchair or scooter. She provided training for the proper use of these vehicles. She loved her work and co-workers. She hoped to return to work following surgery for cancer in 2010, however she retired in 2011.
She was an artistic, colorful, vivacious individual who will be sorely missed by all her knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Habing Family Funeral on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Gilroy.
