IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonides Suzanne
Tarbell
March 11, 1972 – March 1, 2021
~ Suzy Vassale ~
Suzy was born to Joseph and Evelyn Vassale on March 11, 1972 in Orange CA. She was their youngest child and baby sister of Steven and Camille. Suzy is a graduate of St. Mary's School in Gilroy and Notre Dame High School in Salinas.
Suzy was extremely ambitious, a real go-getter, and a risk-taker. As a young adult, she worked in banking, moved into retail sales and eventually managed more than one retail clothing store, excelling in customer service and sales. Her genuine kindness always shined through. Her personality is similar to her mother Evelyn, as they both celebrated their birthdays in the month of March.
Suzy married Troy Tarbell and they had three beautiful children together; Tyler, Te'a Lyn and Tatiana. She loved her little family. Suzy and Troy raised the children in Orlando, Florida. Suzy worked various jobs including retail sales at Disney World. Suzy became a full-time homemaker, caring for the children, particularly Tatiana, who has cerebral palsy. Yet her ambitious nature and entrepreneurial spirit always shined. She kept busy selling AVON, Herbalife, and a few others. She was currently enrolled in the California Principals Course in preparation for the California Real Estate License Exam.
Suzy became a mother again late in life. She was a single mother to Joshua and Jonathan. She openly shared how they helped to renew her faith in God and Family. Being a single mother was not easy, yet she embraced this challenge head-on. She remained steadfast and determined to do her best.
Suzy had a playful sense of humor, was quick-witted and had a giggle like no other. Her bright eyes, cheery cheeks, and contagious smile warmed those around her. Her sunny disposition was never a disappointment. Over the years Suzy remained connected to her old friends from youth and she cherished the time spent with them immensely. Her sister-friends, Tracy, Ella, and Veronica were there for her and she loved each one of you so very much. The laughs, the tears, and the memories tie their friendship together forever. The best part of Suzy was her gift of always staying bubbly and positive even in the hardest of times.
In August 2020, Suzy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She fought hard and always remained positive.
Suzy is survived by her five children, Tyler, Te'a Lyn, Tatiana, Joshua and Jonathan, father Joseph, former husband Troy, brother Steven, niece Rhiannon, niece Chloe, sister Camille and brother-in-law Larry, niece Caitlyn, niece Carissa, niece Rebeca, niece Rachel, nephew Larry Jr., great niece Audrey, great nephew Graham, Aunt Dora Bas, Aunt Sylvia Cipriani, Cousins Cynthia and Mark Slattery, Bas Cousins, Romano Cousins, Vassale Cousins and Cipriani Cousins.
Suzy is now at rest and no longer in pain. She has been reunited in Heaven with our dear mother Evelyn.
