Our beautiful Mother Lazara Muniz de Quintana rose to heaven on October 22nd, 2022, in the presence of her loving family at home in Gilroy California, after three years with cancer, at the age of 78.

She was born on March 10th, 1944 in San Pedro, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro Muniz and Romana Gomez.

She was a caring and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.

Lazara is survived by her husband of 56 years Joe Quintana, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carlos Quintana  (Diana), sons Carlos, Caillou, Cayden and daughter Caroline.

Antonio Quintana (Jenelle), sons Liam and Landon.

Lazara is preceded in death by her sisters Paula Galindo, Manuela Gonzalez, and her brother Guadalupe Muniz, and her parents Pedro and Romana.

She is survived by brothers Bernabe, Jose Paz, Pedro, and Mario and sisters Armida Armendariz and Rosario Acosta.

Lazara was a faithful and devoted member of St Mary Parish (Gilroy), serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Catechist teacher and member of the Guadalupana Association.

Lazara's life was dedicated to her family and was an inspiration to many. She was known for her delicious homemade foods. She had a very generous and loving heart, always welcoming all with a beautiful smile. She loved the Lord and served him faithfully every day. She was inspired by and honored Saint John Paul II. She was loved by many.
