Laraine Reiko Noto

Surrounded by loved ones, Laraine Reiko Noto passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 93.

Laraine was born on February 23, 1932 in San Martin and lived in Gilroy her whole life. She was married to Ben T Noto until his untimely death in 1986 and they had two sons, Benji and Franklin.

Laraine was one of 10 siblings. She worked for the Gilroy Unified School District for 40 plus years. Her last position before retiring was as Business Manager for the District Office.

After retiring, Laraine enjoyed competing in tennis. She enjoyed attending her kids and grandkids sporting events. She enjoyed hosting family reunions, taking care of the grandchildren, gardening, watching the Giants on TV, and traveling to Reno to gamble with her siblings.

She is survived by sons Benji and Franklin (Jann), Grandchildren Melissa Hillberg (Brent), Kevin Noto (Megan), Nicolete Noto, Mackenzi McKinney (Kord), great grandchildren Colin, Emi, Lilly, Oliver, Sisters Katie Hori, Celeste Kitagawa (Howie), sister- in- law Joyce Kuwada and many nieces and nephews.
