Obituary

Kevin Jackson was born on February 4,1954 in Los Angeles CA to Leon Jackson and Geneva Evans. He was the 5th out of 7 children born. Having 4 Sisters and 2 Brothers. Kevin was raised in Compton CA until he later moved to the Bay Area residing in San Jose CA. While attending Andrew Hill High School, Kevin decided to do what he had always dreamed of doing from a young boy, and that was to drive a Big Rig. Where most kids had an imaginary friend, Kevin went through out the house driving his Big Rig, sound effects and all. Kevin was raised in a Baptist household and accepted Christ, being baptized at an early age at Double Rock Baptist Church in Compton California. Kevin was also known as a preachers Kid, which could be both a curse and a blessing! The night that Kevin was born his Father was in the ring boxing while the family watched on tv. The trainer told his Father it was a boy! Our Father carried a scar on his nose from that night on! Kevin was a man of  many passions, his family, his children, grand babies, his Rig, step side pick up, Harley and pretty much any automobile he owned and they all had nick names. If there was such a language, to hold a conversation with Kevin, you knew he was a trucker. All of his children, nieces and nephews got a kick out if his trucker language, and to make them laugh even more, his "Donald Duck" was hysterical. Kevin went on to truck for "Trails Trucking, "Industrial Freight,"
"Consolidation Freight," "Bullet Truck Lines," "Thomas Jackson Trucking," and his final run was with GR Trucking. After suffering a stoke in 2019. Kevin was well known on the road as "Iceberg" and Soul X- Press." Along with his 2 Soul Brother's JT "Scooby" and Avery "Turtle" . This handle was very popular on the road even with Highway Patrol also known as "Smokey" and "Blue Night". Kevin's hard work and personality allowed him to have a relationship with Smokey and Blue Night which also allowed him to get a pass on certain infractions. Working on cars with his Father, he also had love for tools and gadgets which kept him busy when not on the road. With his love for old cars , Kevin also had his beautiful Chevy Cheyenne step side pick-up "The Pid" and the Pontiac "The Coach" cars on display at different car shows. He was very proud of his collection and took great care to keep them in "tip-top" as he would say. Kevin also showed the same care with his Big Rigs making sure they were Thee Baddest and cleanest on the road! Kevin's Rigs were so clean the chrome was blinding! Kevin enjoyed nothing more than to ride in his Rig with his favorite song playing " I'll Always Love My Mama," she's my favorite girl. Kevin sung this song to his Mother frequently. He also enjoyed taking his daughters, siblings, and cousins on the road. We all have LOVE for Freightliner and Peterbuilt because of Kevin. His stories of all his adventures on the road will always be remembered with love and laughter he would get into his stories and make you feel like you were right there with him. Kevin is preceded in death by his Parents, Leon Jackson and Geneva Evans, his Brother Leonard, and Sister Barbara. He leaves behind his Daughters Denise, Megan and Octavia, Step Daughter Crissy along with his 12 Grand-Babies and the Mother of his Children Rebecca ( Becky) Cadei. He also leaves behind his Step Mother Karen, 3 Sisters Valerie, Sharron, Dina, 1 Brother Lathel, 2 step Sisters Sandy, Michelle and 1 step Brother Alfred, many nieces and nephews, family and many friends. He also leaves behind the son he never had his Amazon Parrot PeaBody.
Thanks to Kevin the females in his family know how to handle the road. He will be for ever missed but never Forgotten…….

Also a special thank you to Carmen and Robin from Good Samaritan Hospital and Rossini and her daughter Sharon - The Staff at Foot Hill Care Home in Santa Clara for taking care of him in his final days.
