Kayt went home to be with God after a very short battle with cancer. She was a strong warrior
through her whole journey.

Kayt was born in Gilroy and lived most of her life here and Santa Maria which she called "Old
Country".

Kayt graduated Gilroy High School in 2009 where she was active in Marching Band and Choir
programs.This is where she found her passion and love for music and people. She was active in
youth group, Mexico Mission Trips and worked Day Camp through Gilroy Presbyterian Church.
She graduated Gavilan College where she received her AA in General Education and
Communications, Kayt graduated Humboldt State University where she was an active member
of her community. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English in 2016. She was always with
friends hiking among the majestic Redwoods, exploring beaches, cheering at football games or
enjoying the rain. Kayt was a mentor to first generation college students and everyone she
crossed paths with.

Returning back home to Gilroy, Kayt had worked as a substitute teacher for Gilroy Unified
School District and was the Pit Instructor for Christopher High School Band Program. She was
involved with SacAnime in the Guest Relations Department for the last three years.
Kayt was the Children's Ministry Director at Gilroy Presbyterian Church for the past three years,
where she ran many children's programs including Day Camp every summer.
Kayt was a big believer of being a volunteer and she led by example by volunteering especially
at the Gilroy Garlic Festival whether it be in the dirt in the parking lot to garlic bread in gourmet
alley.

Kayt genuinely loved people! She left them better than she found them. She had a smile that
was contagious. Kayt will be missed by many.

Kayt is survived by her parents, Dawn Marie and Michael Jackson of Gilroy. Benjamin and
Allison Anderson of Mesa, AZ, brother Reese Edward Anderson of Santa Maria, CA, Paternal
Grandparents Juan and Linda Anderson of Santa Maria, CA, Uncle and Aunts, Tim and Cindy
La Vere of Port Huron, MI and Kris Anderson of Santa Maria, CA. Godmother, Lisa Nino of
Gilroy, Bonus Siblings Chelsea (Matt) Hendersen of Morgan Hill, CA, Spencer (Allegra) Jackson
of Sacramento, CA, and Trevor (Amber) Jackson of Roseville, CA and nieces and nephews,
Katie, Ben and Teddy Hendersen of Morgan Hill, CA and Nora Jackson of Roseville, CA.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Dawn Carol and Ed Perry.
