Kayneta Ordaz of Gilroy passed away at her home after a lengthy illness. Kayneta was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Daniel Ordaz of Gilroy. Mother of Lisa Velasco and her husband, Jimmie, Dana Fachin and her husband, Gene, Christopher Ordaz and his late wife Kimberly Ordaz, Mark Ordaz and his wife, Kimberley all of Gilroy. She was a loving grandmother to Aaron Velasco, Kellie Bourke, Terra Cloutier and her husband, Matthew, Neil Fachin, Kaylyn & Claire Ordaz, Megan, Sarah and Daniel Ordaz all of Gilroy and Dawn Magree, Travis Fachin and Chad Velasco. Great-Grandmother of Jaxon Cloutier, Brody Bourke and Sadie Sakamoto. Sister of Dudley Bexley of Mobile, AL and the late Victor McSwain. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Sarah Aceves, Mary Cardenas, and Margaret Herrera.

A native of McLain, Mississippi, Kayneta was raised in Mobile, Alabama graduating from Murphy High School in 1951. She met and married her sweetheart Daniel in 1952 while he was stationed at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile. They returned to Daniel's hometown of Gilroy in 1955 where they raised their family. She worked as a teacher's aide for the school district. Kayneta loved her church and instilled a love of God in her children and grandchildren.

Kayneta left an impression on all she met with her southern charm.


Funeral Services Saturday, May 14, 2016 - 2:00 PM at Gilroy's First Baptist Church.
