It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Claudia McAllister, on August 10th, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 80 years old. Kathleen was born on November 14th, 1943, in Oakland California, to Irving Lawrence Johnson and Everil Luke Johnson. She lived in the Bay Area most of her life and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Social Work. She married the love of her life, Paul McAllister on August 22,1964, and welcomed their first daughter Marcy, in October 1968, and their second daughter Tracy in June 1971. Kathy was a stay-at-home mom for many years, then worked part-time before going back to work full-time, eventually making her way to Hewlett Packard, from which she retired after nearly 20 years. Paul and Kathy lived in their San Jose home for 29 years before moving to Gilroy in 1997, where they were start an excisting new chapter of life on the "farm." Life on the farm brought with it beautiful views and fun family get-togethers, pool parties, and holiday celebrations, of which she was a gracious and hard-working host. Many great times were had by all!

Kathleen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her husband Paul, who passed on July 24th, she is survived by her two daughters, Marcy LaRont and Tracy McAllister, her son-in-law Matt LaRont, her grandchildren, Brianna De La Cruz and Hunter LaRont, as well as many dearly loved cousins, nieces and nephews. She passed just 17 days after her husband Paul. She earned her wings and has been reunited with him and many other loved ones who passed before her, including her sisters, Janice Dahl and Nancy Gould, and her parents Irving Lawrence and Everil Johnson.
