Kathryn
Kramer
February 8, 1944 – May 11, 2024
Our beloved mother and wife Kathryn Kramer passed at home with her loving husband Martin by her side on Saturday May 11, 2024, at Gilroy, California. Kathryn was first born to Estelle (Resnick) and Paul Kramer in Lansing, Michigan on February 8, 1944. She was raised in Newark, California. Kathryn resided mostly in San Jose and in her later years, Gilroy. As a young mother she raised and nurtured her three children to appreciate nature, music and beauty as she did. Kathryn was progressive and attended San Jose State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science in industrial psychology. She was a strong, independent woman and a trailblazer working in a male-dominated field which was unusual at that time. She was feisty, adventurous, and loved to travel with her husband Martin. When she was younger, Kathryn fought for women's and civil rights. Kathryn had a mischievous and clever sense of humor.
Kathryn was an award-winning photographer. She was able to capture the beauty of nature with her photography skills. She also was an exceptional artist, designer, and seamstress. She created the most beautiful works of art. Her keen eye for color combinations were exemplified in her quilting and beading creations.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Kramer and Estelle Lee and her younger brother Edwin Weed Kramer III. She is survived by her husband Martin Celusnak, and her children Cheryl Neil of Grass Valley, Evelyn Medcalf of Albany, and David Eslinger of Rocklin California. Also, grandchildren, Kris Gabrielson II, Nic Eslinger, Amy Neil, Daniel Eslinger, Danelle Eslinger, and several great-grandchildren.
