Julie Hernandez

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Hernandez, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Julie passed away peacefully on September 3rd, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness.

Julie was born on September 19, 1962, to Ernie and Grace Hernandez at Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy. From the very beginning, Julie brought love and light into the lives of those around her. She grew into a kindhearted and loving woman whose warmth touched so many people.

Julie will be remembered for her kind heart, loving spirit, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. She had a special way of making people feel loved and welcomed, and her presence brought joy to countless lives.

Julie also had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved making people laugh and was never short on a funny joke or clever remark. Her humor was one of the many things that made her so special, and her family and friends will always cherish the moments when Julie would say something that had everyone laughing. She truly knew how to make life a little more fun.

Julie had a genuine love for sports, with football, baseball, and basketball among her favorites. She simply enjoyed the game. When her brother was younger, Julie was always there to support him, even helping coach his football and baseball teams. She sacrificed countless hours of her own time because being there for her brother meant so much to her.

Throughout her career, Julie had the opportunity to travel often for work and visit many places around the world. One of the special parts of her travels was getting to meet and spend time with her customers from different places. She enjoyed the connections she made with people along the way, and those relationships became a meaningful part of her life and career.

In her later years, some of her favorite adventures were the road trips she shared with her mother, Grace. Whether traveling to places like Solvang and Sacramento just to have lunch, or making a special trip to her favorite purse designer outlets, it was the time spent together that made those journeys so special.

Julie is survived by her loving mother, Grace; her brother, Ernie, and his wife, Christy; nephew Nico; niece and Goddaughter Emillie; great-nieces Camille and Athena; and great-nephew Theo.

She is also survived by her Aunt Sara, Aunt Alice, Uncle Henry, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Mary, and her Aunt and Godmother, Carmen, along with many beloved cousins and extended family members.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Ernie Hernandez, and her grandparents.

Julie’s memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the lessons she shared, the laughter she brought, and the love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
