Obituary
It is with great saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Julia Marquez Diaz, age 74, on Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born Jan. 9, 1940 in Gilroy.
Julia was a great mom, grandma, great-grandma, Tia, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking. She always shared family secret recipes and loved her garden.
She is survived by 3 children, Arlene Trevino, Rudy Duarte and Beverly A. Diaz. She had 5 grandchildren, Yolanda, Sandra, Sergio, Jr., Sonny and Ronica, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Marquez, mother, Louisa Carrillo Marquez, Brothers, Anthony Marquez, Raymond Marquez, sisters, Josie Reyes, Martha Marquez and son-in-law, Sam Trevino, Jr.
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Parish, 11 First St., Gilroy followed by inurnment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
