Juanita Lerma Sendejas, 94, was a  beloved wife, dedicated mother, a loving sister and an endearing friend in her community of Gilroy. At her side for most of her life, Frank Sendejas (deceased) was her life partner for 65 years.  Together, they built their home and  family, 4 sons and one daughter. Eldest son Frank Jr. (deceased), Edward (deceased), Juanita Sendejas Lopez of Elk Grove, Aurelio Sendejas of Morgan Hill and John Sendejas of Elk Grove, CA.  Juanita, often called Jennie was a friendly and accepting Mother-in-Law to Lourdes Sendejas and Carlos Lopez Sr.  She was a proud grandmother of 10 beautiful grandchildren include Nadia Perez (Fermin Perez, spouse), Jennie Lopez, Carlos Lopez Jr., (deceased), Rocky Anthony Lopez (Deana Matos Lopez, spouse), Victoria Sendejas all of Elk Grove and Stevie Ray Sendejas, Sarah Sendejas Moon, (Quincy Moon, spouse) and Marissa Sendejas of Morgan Hill, CA.   Juanita was also a great grandmother to Charlotte Nichol, Isabela Lopez, Benicio and Santino Perez all of Elk Grove.

Juanita, especially known as "Jennie,"  to her customers was an active sales lady and loved her work.  For more than 30 years, she sold Stanley Home Products in Gilroy, Hollister and Morgan Hill communities. Jennie was never afraid to enter any area of these communities because customers enjoyed her sales, the parties and saw her a valuable friend and sales lady.

Juanita, "Jennie"  was one of 15 Lerma children to Juan & Soledad Ponce Lerma (deceased).   Jennie is survived by sister Carmen Lerma of Las Vegas, Mary Avila, Grace Hernandez, & Rachael Lerma of Gilroy.  Often referred to as "the sisters" she would join in song with them at family parties.  She created many memories with family.

Juanita died peacefully at Hillview Convalescent Home in Morgan Hill with her dedicated family by her side.  She will be missed.
