Juanita Maria Jimenez (Velasquez), also known as Catira, passed away on Friday, February 28 ^th 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was 41 years of age. Catira was born in San Jose on February 2, 1979 to the late Alfredo Velasquez Sr. (d.1999) and Jennie Velasquez of Sacramento. She is survived by her five beloved daughters. She truly adored what she referred to as her 5 divas: Diana (21), Elizabeth (20), Brittany (17), Esmerelda (15), and Arianna (13). She was a sister to Alfredo Velasquez Jr and aunt to his daughter, Isabelle. Catira was very family oriented, always ready to take a road trip to show support to one of her many cousins. She loved Halloween, cooking, always decorated for every holiday. She loved nothing more than spending quality time with her divas at Disneyland. Though she spent nearly the last ten years as a single mom, she did not miss an opportunity to show her divas that they were her top priority. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles.

Though it is always a tragedy to lose someone so young, and have her daughters grow up without a Mom, we know she has gone home to the Lord and find comfort in the knowledge she is no longer in pain, is reunited with her Dad and will always be watching over her daughters from above.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 – 10:00 AM with visitation starting at 8:00 AM at Habing Family Funeral Home.  Reception will follow the services.
