On July 7, 2023, Juan Lopez, 76, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side. Juan, one of the youngest of twelve, was born on August 3, 1946, to Marcos and Julia Lopez in Penjamo, Guanajuato, where he later met and married his wife of 58 years, Teresa Magana Lopez.

At the age of 24, Juan moved his family to Gilroy, California, and raised his four children there, providing them with many opportunities while working for 36 years at South Valley Refuse. After retiring, Juan enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Juan was best known for his big heart, sense of humor, contagious laugh, and love for eating a variety of foods. A hardworking husband, father, and grandfather, Juan is survived by his wife and four children, Sara Lopez Leon, Julie Lopez Lugo (Genaro), Maricela Lopez Tomasetti (Arthur), and John Lopez (Claudia). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, the service will follow at 10 a.m.
