Juan "Mikey", 39, of Gilroy, passed away on September 10, 2020. He is survived by his brother Robert Chavez.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Cruz.

It is with sadness and heartbreak that we say goodbye to him.  Mikey was beloved by all who knew him. He always had a way of making everyone laugh. Everyone wanted to be around him. He was a very kind and generous soul. His love for skateboarding was exceptionally inspiring. It was like magic whenever he stepped onto a board and it was a thrill to watch. He loved fishing and hanging out with his nephew Romero, he was an amazing uncle.

Mikey has left us too soon, but we will cherish all the memories, of which we will keep forever.
