Josephine Moreno of San Martin, CA passed away peacefully Friday morning on January 27th in her home.    She was born Josephine Martin in Santa Clara, CA.  She just had celebrated her 95th Birthday on December 28, 2016.

Josephine worked alongside her children in many of their family produce businesses.  Most people would recognize her at the Tennant Ave. Farmers Market (next to Johnson's Lumber) in Morgan Hill alongside her daughter Joann.  Josephine could always be seen sweeping and greeting customers for she enjoyed working with the public and continued this until she was 94.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Tony Gill Moreno, and beloved son Rick Gill Moreno.  She is survived by her children, Anthony (Polly),  Ken (Sandy), Toni Lynn (Manny), Randy (Kirsten), and Joann Moreno.  She was adored by her 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She was an outspoken personality that was loved by many. Just to know her was to love her.  She will be missed greatly by everyone.

We take comfort in knowing she was greeted by our Father and brother Rick at Heaven's door.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February  2, 2017 at 11:00am at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St., Gilroy.

Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park & Crematory 1000 First St., Gilroy.
