Josephine, 88, Gilroy passed away on August 1, 2017.  She is survived by her children; Alice Garcia, Herman Corella, Pete Corella, Margaret Corella, Paul Silva, Simon Silva and her stepson; Victor Silva.

She is also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her sons; Phillip Corella and Albert Johnny Corella and her daughter Juanita Corella. Also preceded in death by her grandchild; Jesus Palacios.

Josephine was born on July 14, 1929 to Clarita Trujillo and Vicente Gallegos, in the area of Alamosa, Colorado.  Her early years were spent in Colorado, Arizona and Idaho.  She had lived in Gilroy since 1976. She was the last of the Gallegos siblings; 6 Boys and 5 Girls.

She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, revered Friend and Neighbor.  She was patient, caring, tolerant and dedicated to her family.

She took great pride in her in home candy store that she started so the neighborhood kids would not cross the busy streets to go get their candy.  Kids and their parents came from all over the neighborhood  to get their candy and soda from her home.

Always interested in her community, she volunteered at the Senior Center and visited  her friends that  needed her.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Habing Family Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be immediately following services at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.
