Joe, 70, Gilroy, passed away in his home on May 6, 2018.  He is survived by his Son; Benjamin Vera, Stepchildren; Steven Ditmore, Penny Rivera and Christopher Gomez, Nephews and Nieces; Ray Cordova, Ricky Cordova, Steven Vera, Elizabeth Vera, Little David Vera, Troy Vera, Natalia Vera, Bianca Johnson, Daniel Vera, Lillian Vera, Ruben Vera, Jr., Raul Vera, Joy Vera, Gloria Vera, Asia Cordova, Aaliah Cordova, Alexis Cordova, Little Ricky Cordova, Jayden Cordova and Ray Cordova, Jr. Also survived by his Brothers; Big Joe Vera, Ruben Vera, Sr. and John Vera. Sisters; Cruz Vera and Martha Vera. Grandchilden; David Rivera, Melissa Rivera and Joshua Perez, Great Grandchildren; Marissa Nino, Daniel Vasquez, Little David Rivera.  He was preceded in death by; Sister, Mary Vera (Martinez) and Brothers; David Vera, Sr. and Raul Vera.

Joe was born in Texas and moved to Santa Clara County as a young child. He worked for years in Gilroy as a mechanic, in business for himself.  His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his family.  Joe had a big heart and he will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Habing Family Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm.
